Hazelnut oil
Our high-quality hazelnut oil is cold-pressed from unroasted, fresh hazelnuts. In this way, valuable ingredients and the typical flavour of the variety are particularly well preserved. With its mild taste, this golden-yellow, finely nutty oil is equally suitable for sweet and savoury dishes. For example, hazelnut oil can be used to prepare delicious egg dishes such as pancakes or Kaiserschmarrn. It is also ideal for making dressings and dips, enhances the flavour of fruity dessert sauces and can be drizzled on ice cream or other desserts to give them a light, nutty note. Hazelnut oil is also wonderful for baking cakes or biscuits. Fruity sauces with meat also benefit from adding a few drops of hazelnut oil. Green salads dressed with hazelnut oil and a good vinegar, for example, taste much more intense. Hazelnut oil is characterised by its high content of the unsaturated fatty acid "oleic acid" and is therefore also suitable for short frying and steaming.
Hazelnut oil is available in organic and conventional quality and originates from Croatia..
USE
Because of its mild, sweet-nutty taste, hazelnut oil is suitable for raw vegetable and fruit salads, wholefood dishes and dressings. Because of its fatty acid spectrum, hazelnut oil is also suitable for warm and hot cooking, for example for baking and frying (pancakes and crêpes). Hazelnut oil is easy to digest. Allergy sufferers should avoid hazelnut oil, as the oil may contain traces of hazelnut allergens.
